If you don't promote your website, it's going to be very difficult for you to get new members and this means poor activities on your website as well.

Promotional forums have been tipped as the best place to promote websites but what other places do you think promotion gets positive results?

I’ve found success promoting my forum on Reddit and Tumblr. I’ve also tried Quora with some decent success, and Twitter has helped as well.

Facebook is also a good place to promote. Especially if you find groups and pages related to your forum’s niche.

Twitter, reddit (which is the biggest forum base), Facebook groups, Forum Coin and of course Forum Promotion are the best places I know one can promote their new forum projects and have positive feedbacks.

Social media does seem like a good place to promote your site if you do so constructively and not shamefully. However, I've never used social media to promote my site because I've always depended on signature advertising, search engines, word of mouth, and advertisements posted on forums of a similar genre. I'm just not very fond of social media for the most part and find it too cumbersome.

Promotion forums are great to promote your website but if that is all you stick to, you will find that activity will not pick up as much as you hope.

Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter are all great places to be able to promote your website in which you can get some good results. It is always best to stay consistent with your promotion too for the results to start showing.

I find X and Facebook a very good way of promoting and building back links for your website. Active forums are a good way to also promote websites. You can use that to form alliance with other webmasters.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram can be very effective in driving traffic to your website. One important thing is to optimise your website for search engines through the use of SEO, and this is very crucial. Online communities such as Reddit, Quora, and forums can also be used to promote your website. Mostly, I use Quora because it offers opportunities to engage with potential visitors. Email marketing and newsletters can also help you nurture relationships with existing customers.

Personally, I've seen success with social media and email marketing. But before you use these mediums to promote your website, you need to build a loyal following first, because that's how to drive consistent traffic to your site.

For me the best place us through the media and to be specific website's like Twitter, Instagram,Reddit, and tiktok these places are at least faster to and easier to get people's attention so I think is a bit better than some other advert webs

Reddit kept removing my promotional material, and I have found Facebook to be a "pay to play" platform. I haven't done a lot of market recently, so perhaps someone who has and who is a better marketer has ideas on how I can use these platforms more productively?

Which subreddits were you trying to promote on? Some subreddits have rules that don’t allow any promotional links at all. You can usually find their rules under the “Community Info” tab or the “See More” option on the subreddit.

The subreddits that don’t have rules against promotional links are the best ones to market on.

I don't quite remember the names, but we were promoting electronics (think laptops, NUCs, headphones, and the like). I am planning to start promoting there again as I have a few things I want to get traction on. Will be on the lookout for those rules because getting a post removed is a waste of time and energy.

Thanks, @Cpvr
