  • Thread Author
Creating an appealing website can be tough, often leaving you feeling like something's missing. Here are some great sources of inspiration to enhance your designs:

  1. Dark Mode Design
Curated dark mode websites that highlight typography.
    Pros: Great designs, strong typography.
Cons: Limited to dark mode, smaller selection.
  2. Siteinspire
A diverse range of high-quality web designs with easy navigation.
    Pros: Variety and user-friendly.
Cons: Some repetitive designs, limited demos.
  3. Awwwards
Showcases award-winning sites, many built with no-code tools.
    Pros: Creative designs, trend insights.
Cons: Unrealistic expectations, aesthetics over function.
  4. Best Website Gallery
Features various designs, many using no-code tools.
    Pros: Diverse styles, promotes creativity.
    Cons: Inconsistent quality, limited filtering.
  5. Dribbble
A vibrant community for sharing design work and getting feedback.
    Pros: Extensive styles, networking.
Cons: Varying quality, hard to find specific types.
Also, don’t forget Pinterest for creative ideas and Tailwind UI components that can be recreated with your own code!

Pinterest is my lead platform where I get so much insight when it comes to what I have to design. The platform is so rich that you can't run out of what you will get from there. Also, I make use of social media platforms like Instagram every now and then.

yeah,

pinterest is amazing, but sometimes finding the perfect website there is not for me, I do lookup to pinterest but only as a last option.

Best place to get design inspirations in my view, is other blogs, forums and even Reddit with like minded people. Just make sure you don’t copy their design otherwise you could be violating local copyright laws and more importantly? Your design wouldn’t be unique!

It's hard to mention because you can get motivation from anything. Even from plants, clouds, toys or even animals.

Every single time I start a design project, I first find inspiration. You may think that designers are gifted with this crazy creative brain that’s always producing new and amazing ideas that we can just pull from at any given moment. BUT, that my friends is only partially true. I definitely have a crazy creative brain (hello ADD), but it doesn’t only produce amazing ideas. Not to mention that when it does, it doesn’t mean I can remember them later. Lets be real, by the time I thought of one great idea, my brain is already on to the next thing and *poof* the first idea is gone. Raise your hand if you can relate. And that, is why I am always looking for good inspiration.

because I'm still a beginner in designing, I usually use Canva Pro where I get so much insight into what I should design. The platform is not very complete but it is still worth using so you will never run out of inspiration for designing something. Apart from that, I also occasionally use social media platforms such as TikTok.

Design inspiration can come from a variety of sources, both online and offline. Websites like Behance, Dribbble, and Pinterest are great for exploring creative projects from talented designers worldwide. You can also find inspiration in everyday life—nature, architecture, and art often provide fresh perspectives. Don't forget to check out design books and attend industry events or exhibitions to stay updated on trends and new ideas.

a few months ago tiktok was also banned but has been reopened, but the content provided so far is not educational but if it is to design something or to edit videos it is still worth using

These are some awesome suggestions! I’ve been struggling with dark mode designs, so Dark Mode Design seems like a perfect place to start. Thanks!

That is the issue with Tiktok. When I go there, most of the contents there are all about dancing and less of what can make one become great at what they do.
