There is a lot of discussion online about this topic and people seen to be divided.

For me, I am dark mode everything on my phone, computer and IDE.

The only time I go light mode is if I am working on a website that requires me to see both versions or when a website or app implements dark mode so badly that I have to use light mode.

Maybe being a night owl factors into that decision 😅.

So, let's settle this once and for all, which side are you on and which is better, dark mode or the light mode?

I usually just go by whatever's the default (because the default tends to be the more polished of the two!)

Discord is a good example. I would only ever used Dark Mode (its default option) - because its Light Mode is horrible by comparison. However, on Wikipedia, the reverse is true.

Haha, I'm also a very loyal dark mode enthusiast. Dark mode can reduce eye strain and conserve battery life and those are the major reasons why I love using it. And I also find light mode to improve my readability and it's even suitable for daytime use.

The hype around dark mode has never resonated with me. I like what I do in light mode, maybe if I were to learn programming it will be in light mode too.
